Sexological Bodywork® is a holistic approach to somatic sex education and therapy, aimed at enhancing individuals’ and couples’ sexual health and overall well-being. Sexological Bodyworkers (SBs) are skilled professionals who employ a combination of talk therapy, coaching, and hands-on bodywork techniques to support clients in their exploration and expansion of sexuality.

The foundation of Sexological Bodywork lies in the recognition that sexuality is an integral aspect of the human experience, and that sexual issues can stem from physical, emotional, and psychological factors.

Through collaboration with clients, Sexological Bodyworkers facilitate the development of increased body awareness, understanding of desires and boundaries, and resolution of any obstacles inhibiting the experience of pleasure and connection.

SEXOLOGICAL BODYWORK™ TECHNIQUES

Sexological Bodyworkers employ a diverse array of techniques to support their clients in their journey towards enhanced well-being and sexual fulfillment. These techniques encompass:

Breathwork: Utilizing specific breathing exercises to promote relaxation, mindfulness, and increased body awareness.

Active Receiving: Encouraging clients to actively participate in their own pleasure and exploration, fostering a sense of empowerment and agency.

Anal Mapping Bodywork: Gentle touch and exploration of the anal area, aimed at promoting relaxation, awareness, releasing trauma, scar tissue remediation and addressing any potential discomfort or tension.

Internal & External Genital Mapping: Skillful touch and exploration of the external and internal genital areas, fostering understanding and awareness, scar tissue remediation, addressing blocked trauma and opening to pleasure.

Scar Tissue Remediation: Bodywork techniques specifically designed to address scar tissue from surgeries or traumas, aiming to dissolve scarring, increase comfort, mobility, and sensitivity in the affected areas.

Open Communication: Facilitating open and non-judgmental communication between clients and practitioners, creating a safe space for discussing desires, boundaries, concent, sexual trauma, intimacy & libido issues and any concerns that may arise.

Orgasmic Yoga Coaching: Guiding clients in practices and exercises aimed at expanding and deepening their experience of pleasure, personal body connection, and orgasmic potential.

The use of these techniques help to cultivate self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-expression, leading to improved overall well-being and enhanced sexual satisfaction.

Each technique is tailored to the individual’s needs and preferences, ensuring a personalized and holistic approach to sexual exploration and growth.

Practitioners of Sexological Bodywork adhere to stringent ethical guidelines and professional standards, ensuring the provision of a safe and trustworthy environment for their clients.

The contemporary landscape of Sexological Bodywork encompasses a diverse community of practitioners and educators who offer specialized services and training programs. This field remains dynamic, continually evolving and expanding to meet the evolving needs and desires of individuals seeking enhanced sexual well-being.

Sexological Bodywork has gained recognition and practice in numerous countries worldwide, with a predominant presence in Western nations such as the United States, Canada, Australia, and various European countries.

As a relatively new and evolving field, the availability of trained practitioners and accredited training programs can vary depending on the location. Nevertheless, given the increasing acknowledgment of the significance of sexual health and education, as well as the growing interest in holistic and somatic approaches to healing and personal growth, the field of Sexological Bodywork is anticipated to continue expanding and diversifying in the years ahead.
